Bad Points
Like any appliance, there’s going to be some negatives that could be an issue for you. Those problem areas are outlined below.
- Kenstore Storage
As with most food mixers with an array of attachments, they’re often left in different drawers, or wherever you can find storage. The unique Kenstore storage compartment, built into the Kenwood FP920 offers the convenience of storing the attachments with your Kenwood food processor.
You can’t store every attachment in here, despite it being quite large. There’s some attachments you’ll need to store elsewhere.
Besides the storage of the attachments, there’s the size of the unit. While it has a stylish finish that’s ideal for permanently leaving on your worktops, if you’ve a smaller kitchen, you may not have that option. Therefore, the Kenwood food mixer will take up a chunk of your cupboard space.
- Safety attachments on the lid
Like all other food mixers, there’s a safety catch on the lid that locks it in place over the bowl, ensuring that the food doesn’t come spurting out the food processor, while it’s in use. The lid and the safety interlock on the Kenwood FP920, seems to have some problems. According to consumers who have found this to be a problem, there’s been replacement lids, and sometimes bowls as well, depending on the type of lid that’s broke.
- Citrus Attachment
This isn’t so much of a negative, it’s more of a tip. Some people find that the citrus attachment isn’t supplied with the Kenwood food processor. It actually is…you need to use the revolving attachment that’s supplied with the food mixer, as that turns into a citrus press.
Final Say on the Kenwood FP920 Food Mixer
Despite the few flaws on the Kenwood food processor, it’s probably still going to be among the most versatile of food mixers available. It’s also dishwasher safe, which makes the clean up process so much easier. With a powerful motor, tons of attachments and easy to follow instructions, with multiple settings, the Kenwood FP920, really is among the only food mixer you’ll ever need.
From preparing bread doughs, slicing and dicing, to making fruit smoothies with the blender function, there’s every food prep task covered. It’s probably the best Kenwood food processor, that’s been produced to date.
